Five stars do not even cover the excellence of my experience with the owner, Dan, and his assistant as our movers! Calvary Cargo is a family-owned business with all the friendliness, personal attention, and trustworthiness attached to that reputation. Out of the many local Columbia-area movers I interviewed, Dan was the most punctual, warm, and reasonably priced. On the day of the move, he and his assistant arrived earlier than scheduled and got straight to work. All throughout the loading and unloading process, they displayed a positive and industrious spirit, even navigating a steep flight of stairs at my new place without a single complaint. Even more impressively, out of the nine moves I have made so far--some of them interstate--Calvary Cargo is the only moving company that did not dent or damage a single piece of my expensive Ethan Allen heirloom furniture.
It is also worth noting that Dan's spacial reasoning skills are top-notch. In his tall 14-ft cargo van, he was able to fit all my furniture from a 3-bedroom home, including a long keyboard box and a full queen-sized bedroom set, with room to spare. As can be seen in the attached photo, he was also careful to bind every piece to the interior walls with numerous ratchet straps so they would not slide around on the long drive. I was so impressed with Dan's care, honesty, and reliability that I'm already planning to hire him for my next move! I highly recommend Calvary Cargo to anyone looking for a serious and professional mover in the area.
We use Dan all the time! He is always reliable, on time, protects your items well and affordable. Wouldn't recommend anyone else!
